Getting Ready To Plant

It is getting close to planting time and George has been working hard on getting the beds ready.  He spent most of the week end picking up horse manure from a local horse ranch and shoveling it into the beds.  Yesterday he tilled the beds to help fertilize the soil.  When we get back to the farm in May  we will be helping with the planting.  This year we will be growing most of the same crops as last year except we are scaling back on some like zucchini and planting more like corn.  The fruit trees are budding nicely so hopefully we will get some fruit.  Time will tell. Now if it would only rain a bit.  March was the driest March ever for Tennessee.
