Checking Out The Farm

We are back at the farm after driving 12 hours and it is good to be back.  George and Lisa met us with a big Welcome and a great dinner.  Lisa made her famous meatloaf and it was delicious!  Thanks Lisa and George for dinner and making our first night back a great one.  After dinner we took a walk down to the orchard to check out all the crops they have planted.  They created several beds and planted a lot of veggies and fruits.  Even though they have had some issues with cows, rabbits and Japanese beetles the crops are looking good and have already yielded lots of zucchini and blueberries along with some tomatoes.  The grapes are looking good and we are thinking about trying to make some wine.  Way to go George and Lisa and now that we are back we can give you a hand.  We still have lots of things to do before we are completely settled but today we will take each task one at a time.  Like I said in the beginning of this blog, it is good to be back!
