Getting Ready For Spring
George was up early and down in the orchard working on the beds for planting the crops this year. We all spent some time Friday night deciding what we wanted to plant this year. Last year a little bit of everything was planted to see how things grew but this year we are planting the crops we want to have and eat. While George was working on the beds Lisa and I were busy pruning the grape vines to get them ready. At first we were going to keep some vines to make some wreaths but by the time we were done pruning we were both pretty much done with wanting to do anything with them. So after lunch we collected all the vines and put them in the burn pile to be dealt with later. It was a good day to be working in the orchard because it was cool and overcast. So we have officially begun to get the orchard ready to plant.
